I’ve been thinking a lot about starting a samples and techniques blog for my eat cake graphics website. My current samples pages are really difficult to maintain, and as with most things, difficult = don’t get around to doing it. :) Funny how that works.
I’ve been noticing a lot of blogs that have projects and […]

Cathrine St Clair, the owner of Paper Garden Projects created the most AMAZING project using some of my new (and previously released) winter kids stamps. I was blown absolutely blown away!
Cathrine has a wonderful online shop Paper Garden Projects where she sells my stamps mounted on static cling foam. She also sells paper kits and […]

I finished my latest rubber stamp supplement - yippeee! I just love it when new drawings come together. These are specifically for Halloween.
If you want to take a peek they’ll be under the “what’s new” section of my website until I release the next supplement.
I’m working on new drawings for Christmas…which I’m hoping to announce […]

Last September Terri Thayer’s first Stamping Sisters Mystery novel, Stamped Out, came out. We had run into each other quite awhile back and she asked me to create a small project and stamps to go with the book - I said “sure!”
Well this month, Inked Up, her second stamping mystery hit the shelves (way to […]

Awhile back I worked with two wonderful gals who were starting up an organic, gourmet dog treats business. They needed a logo and wanted to use their dogs (the real Zac, a boxer, and Betty, a Jack Russell Terrier) as inspiration. We worked over the phone and through email and the logo to the right […]

Houston’s Quilt Market was October 25-27, 2008 (this is the wholesale part of the show, the retail part where 50,000 quilters descend is a few days later and called “Festival”).
This year went well, only one little hiccup (as opposed to last year when I lost my wallet!)…this year I only last part of my booth!
Let […]

Life has been busy as usual but I’ve actually finished a few quilts.
This one I’ve wanted to do for quite awhile as it’s one of my favorite stamps and was my Christmas card a couple years ago. I wasn’t sure how it would translate into fabric but I think it worked.
This one I actually […]

I believe the Fairy of Perpetual Procrastination has been sprinkling “I still have time” dust in my project room.
I really don’t know why I do this to myself. I’ve been working on a few new quilts since I haven’t really come out with any new patterns this year. Houston’s Quilt Market and Festival is coming […]

Today was Terri Thayer’s book launching party. I think it was quite a success!
The day started out a bit gray, almost drizzly, quite different for California in September. But it was nice, we had a heat spell awhile back and I much prefer the cooler weather.
The launch party was held at a little park in […]

I’ve been doing a little stitching and thought I’d give you a sneak peek at a couple of the blocks for an upcoming pattern.
This quilt will be similar in style and color to my “Home in the Middle” but will focus on pets and baskets.
Usually when I start a quilt I have a pretty good […]

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to design fabric, here’s your chance. There’s a new internet based company called Spoonflower. What they do - take any design you send in and print it on fabric. Right now they’re in a beta phase and you have to sign up and then get […]

I’m so very excited, Kay Mackenzie a very talented appliquér and pattern designer/publisher asked if I’d be interested in doing a little interview for her blog. I said yes! But then she said she wanted a photo of me - please God grace me with a good hair day! :) Well, that was taking […]

Last year I participated in Houston’s annual Quilt Market and Festival and was lucky enough to have the editor-in-chief of QuiltMania, a French quilt magazine, walk by my booth. It was actually the last day of Festival and she saw my “Lilly’s Water Wings” quilt and asked if I’d be interested in having it published […]

For those of you that have visited my business website you’ll know that I design and sell rubber stamps and quilt patterns. This year I was lucky enough, thanks to my dear friend Annie Smith and her daughter Kirsten, to go to Houston’s Quilt Market and Festival (I would never have tried doing this on […]
