Block of the month round robin

bom1.jpg

The guild that I belong to, the Pinnacle Quilters of San Benito County is hosting a block of the month round robin…and I decided to join.

Each quilter had to make their first block - anything you wanted, any size you wanted - to kick things off. I decided to make one of my favorite drawings into an applique.

We put together extra fabric and a little journal and some notes for people participating in the round robin. The women in charge of organizing the whole thing even made us special tote bags so we could pass our blocks and stuff around.

So each month I’ll receive someone’s bag full of stuff and create a block. And then at the end of the year we should each have 12 blocks and will be able to make a little quilt. I can’t wait to see! I’ll try to post each month what’s happening.

Wahoo!
